The Well-Appointed Desk started it's life as a blog reviewing fountain pens, ink and stationery supplies. As our involvement in the stationery community grew, we realized we could contribute using our combined skills of letterpress printer, product designer and fountain pen users. Our first product was the ubiquitous Col-o-ring Ink Testing Book which remains our flagship product and the industry standard for ink testing. We added an array of other Col-o-ring related products as well as letterpress notepads, prints, cards, rubber stamps and stickers. Over the years, we have taken our personal interests in pop culture, nerdery, and the supernatural and curated a collection of products from other vendors to create the kind of online store we would want to shop.
The Well-Appointed Desk is a combined venture of Ana Reinert (The Well-Appointed Desk, designer, fountain pen nerd) and Bob Atkins (Skylab Letterpress, printer, art director, space nerd) with the support of our teams, friends and family. We are cat rescuers, coffe drinkers and all-around nerds.
